Suzanne has been living on Thassos since 1987. Before that she worked as an administrator in England.
With her Mums inheritance she established "The Ginger-Bread-Sanctuary-Rachoni-Thassos". She started with only 20 dogs in 2003; meanwhile she has to take care of about 150 animals.

Manu has been living on Thassos since 1990. Until a few years ago she mixed cocktails at several bars, nowadays she only mixes milkshakes for all the small – and not so small - animals on the island. She arranges everything regarding advertisment, activities and collecting money. Besides that Manu is the contact person for all the problems around animal protection.

STATHIS
Veterinarian FOS, Kavala
Stathis Simeonidis is FOS's vet, he mainly works in his clinic in Kavala, but comes to Thassos when needed. If there is an emergency and Stathis' help is needed we send the animals to him in Kavala. At other times his assistent Nikos Efthymiopoulos is on hand to deal with treating all the animals. The clinic is in Limenaria/Kalivia, opposite the supermarket. They are both willing to help and work for FOS any time of the day or night, therefore they are a big benefit to FOS.

Christel
Christel has been living on Thassos for quite a while and is our best cat-mom. Back in Germany she worked as a tailor. Christel catches wild cats to get them sterilised at Stathis’ surgery. She gives plenty of cats a home, nursing them and trying to find a good home for each one. She is also knitting a lot for the christmasmarkets in Limenaria and Limenas.

Trevor and Sue
They are living in Skala Rachoni since 2009 and took 2 dogs from the sanctuary. Trevor helps where he can and (very important!) brings the dog food up to the sanctuary with his 4x4. Sue is handling the computerwork for Suzanne.
