Not to forget our helpers of the Thassos-Forum
Sometime in 2004 Manu began to inform the forum members about the situation regarding the animals on Thassos. Wolfgang of www.thassos-island.de supported her immensly and all of a sudden quite a few forum-members started to subscribe money, donated food, medication etc. We shared difficult and funny moments, started protest campaigns and exchanged experiences.

GERMANY
Nicole Bernhard and her helpers are also volunteers of FOS, living in Germany. They organize FOS' "halfway station" for all puppies and dogs FOS sends to Germany (Duesseldorf) and they find new homes for the animals. Without their help the situation of stray dogs on Thassos would be a lot worse.

DENMARK
Benedikte Bjerre has a charity, Graeskehunde, in Denmark and has helped FOS tremendously by sending donations and volunteers to help at the sanctuary, the charity also helps by re-homing 5 - 6 dogs every year. Here you can find the homepage.
Maria and Karina are volunteers from Denmark and work closely with Benedikte they come here 2-3 times a year and help out at the sanctuary and when they leave Thassos they always kindly take a couple of dogs or cats with them.
ENGLAND
Friends of the Strays of Greece is another charity which has helped FOS a tremendous amount. They have sent us volunteers to help, money for sterilisations, microchips, food and much much more. Lyn and Mark Purden who run the charity work tirelessly raising money for charities. Their website can be found here.You will even see a picture of Luna a dog they adopted from Thassos.
